BLACK BIAS BINDING 2CMX3M

Rico Design bias binding to give your projects the perfect final touch! 15 stunning colors.

100% COTTON

Bias tape is a narrow strip of fabric cut on the bias that makes it stretchier and more drapeable. Used in making pipingbinding seams, finishing raw edges, etc. It is often used on the edges of quilts, placemats, and bibs, around  armhole and neckline edges.

It is very easy to sew. However, be careful and sew it slowly for best results. It can sometimes be tricky!

This is ready- to -use bias tape. Bias tape can be easily homemade if you can’t find the right color or you want to use the same fabric, please check our bias tape makers.

How to sew:

  • Unfold the bias tape and align the right side of the tape to the wrong/back side of the fabric you are binding. Leave a couple of centimeters extra in the beginning and end. Hold it in place with pins or (TIP!!) glue  .

  • Sew all the way around following the fold marks leaving the first cm unsewn. Overlap the end and the beginning to make a neat connection.

  • Fold the bias tape in place and edge stitch from the other side being careful to cover the previous seam.

Voila!
